What's new in Revenium 2.18.0: drill-through analytics, multi-period budgets, and expanded MCP control

Revenium 2.18.0 is about making everyday work faster. Most of the features in this release sharpen capabilities you already use, turning headline numbers into detail you can act on and giving teams more flexible ways to plan, search, and control AI spend.

1) Drill through almost any chart

Nearly every chart in Revenium is now clickable. Tap a data point and you land on the individual transactions behind that number.

This is the biggest usability jump in the release. What used to take a rebuilt view or a manual query is now one click. You go from a headline figure straight to the detail that explains it, in one step.

What this unlocks:

  • One-click access to underlying transactions from almost any chart
  • Faster investigation of spikes, outliers, and unexpected trends
  • Less time spent rebuilding views by hand

2) Multi-period spend budgets that match how teams plan

Cumulative spend budgets can now track provider billing across daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly periods. Provider-based cost controls finally fit the cadence your team already plans around, instead of forcing everything into one fixed window.

What this unlocks:

  • Budget periods that match finance and engineering planning cycles
  • Provider-based cost controls with real flexibility
  • Cleaner alignment between how spend is tracked and how it is reviewed

3) Provider Comparison tab for side-by-side visibility

A new Provider Comparison tab shows spend and usage across your AI providers in a single view. Where the money is going by provider is now visible at a glance, without stitching charts together.

This is a new dedicated page and is distinct from the Provider Comparison chart template that shipped last release. The tab is a full view built for cross-provider analysis.

What this unlocks:

  • Side-by-side spend and usage across providers
  • One dedicated view for cross-provider analysis
  • A faster answer to where your AI money is going

4) Broader activity search across the platform

The identifier and attribute search introduced last release now covers the full activity feed and the tool registry, not only completions. One search box now finds a transaction or tool event wherever it lives.

What this unlocks:

  • Search across completions, the full activity feed, and the tool registry
  • Fewer places to look when investigating an event
  • Faster answers when tracing usage back to a specific identifier

5) Expanded Revenium MCP server for agent-driven control

The self-hosted Revenium MCP server (changelog) now lets your AI tools manage cost-control guardrails, agents, and squads, and read budgets, billing, and business analytics directly. More of Revenium is controllable from inside your own agent stack, not only from the dashboard.

What this unlocks:

  • Agent-driven management of guardrails, agents, and squads
  • Read access to budgets, billing, and business analytics from your agent tools
  • More of Revenium available where your team already works

Also in this release

Tag AI usage by ticket. You can now attach a ticket identifier to metered AI usage through the SDK and middleware, so spend traces back to the support or work ticket that generated it. No more reconciling by hand at the end of the month.

More coding-assistant PR analytics views. Pull-request analytics for coding assistants now offer week and month views alongside the existing daily view. Easier to see the trend, not only the day.

For the full technical details on everything that shipped, the changelog has the complete rundown.
